My client is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to join their developing team in a newly created position with national sales and revenue accountability, based in Auckland. They are looking for someone with experience selling technical products into the building, construction and architectural channels, who has existingrelationships and networks throughout the country.

You will be working for a company that promotes healthy homes and healthy living who are looking to take their business to the next level. As a part of the senior leadership team and working closely with the General Manager and the National Sales Manager, with one direct report, this role is key to the success of the business. This is an exciting new opportunity that will require implementing strategic planning and sales strategies as well as working closely with the marketing team.

We are looking for someone with the drive and determination to build on the existing sales and customer base yet who is not afraid to identify and target new opportunities. Are you the right person to lead this channel and become known throughout the industry as the face of this section of the company? 

You will be looking to develop new business through promoting, selling & assisting in the design of healthy building product solutions to builders, architects, project managers and specifiers. Your existing network in these sectors would definitely be beneficial. 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • An understanding of how to create opportunities to bring new business on board 

  • The ability to turn new business leads into revenue 

  • An understanding of strategic planning from a business point of view 

  • An existing network and relationships with builders, architects and project managers

  • The ability to take technical information on board and sell a technical product 

  • Previous experience selling within the building, architects or wider construction channels 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 

  • Building/Construction/Engineering sales background

AM Eyewear is looking for highly dynamic, self-motivated Sales Agent for all regions of New Zealand, with a strong background in the optical or fashion industry, for the sales professional who prefers to be self-employed.

The primary function of the sales agent will be to:

  • Motivate, Service and Educate existing accounts
  • Identify potential new doors 
  • Ensure that brand image is upheld at all times
  • Build sales in new and existing doors to achieve sales targets

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have previous experience in a wholesale sales role (a bonus if in either the fashion or optical industry). 
  • Have a current driver's licence 
  • Have experience in a cold calls sales environment
  • Have a large and growing customer base with growth potential
  • Be a trustworthy, a self-starter and real drive to achieve sales results
  • Be organised and a great communicator
